The General
"I wrote this short story as a birthday present for my wife Helle on November 27, 1971. Now, having brushed off the dust of time from it, and with the consent of its owner, I offer it to the reader, having changed the title and supplemented it with those details which had to be completed under the pressure of life experience, from which over the years I still have not managed to evade."Vladimir TarassovThe book reflects the author's socio-technological thinking in an artistic form. The narrative is conducted in a light fairy tale form from the third person. The protagonist, Catilina, must defeat a terrible man named Little God. In order to win it is necessary to be kind, calm and patient. Catilina learns to understand people, and people follow him; he understands the enemy and can control his steps. He becomes the master of time and can make his actions inevitable.
